Apollo Bramwell: NIC chooses LENMED as preferred bidder to take over
The Board of the NIC Healthcare Ltd has chosen LENMED Health Africa (Proprietary) Limited (LENMED) as its preferred bidder for taking over the business of Apollo Bramwell Hospital on Friday November 11.
In its offer, LENMED has proposed an amount of USD 19 million (Rs 681 million) for the acquisition of the hospital business and an annual amount of USD 1.4 million (Rs 50 million) for renting the hospital building. On acquisition, LENMED will retain all hospital staff.
LENMED is an established South African hospital group with a 30-year track record providing private patient healthcare in Africa. LENMED manages 11 hospitals across Africa with a total bed capacity of 1,695 beds.
Representatives of LENMED are expected in Mauritius early next week to conclude the deal.
